Job description
The Team – your impact
You are a member of the Crisis Management & Physical Security Coordination team. Together with your colleagues you establish and operate a Crisis Management Organisation to maintain security of supply and the protection of people, infrastructure and assets for the E.ON Group.
Your Role – meaningful & rewarding
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve the crisis and emergency management system at E.ON SE
- Coordinate and support the activation and operation of E.ON´s crisis management team, including decision-making, reporting and escalation processes
- Provide decision support during crises (e.g., major disruptions, extreme weather, sabotage, hybrid threats) through structured analysis, scenarios, and briefing materials
- Manage interfaces with external stakeholders (e.g., authorities, disaster control, police, fire brigades, associations)
- Plan, execute, and evaluate crisis exercises and trainings, ensuring continuous improvement
- Align and integrate crisis management across business units, defining standards and monitoring implementation
- Continuously monitor, assess, and clearly present the current threat situation for the E.ON Group (e.g., OSINT-based reporting)
Your Profile – authentic & open-minded
- Extensive professional experience in crisis management within a corporate or complex operational environment
- Strong knowledge of crisis management frameworks (e.g., ISO 22361, ISO 22301) and relevant regulations
- Experience working with authorities, crisis partners, and crisis management tools (e.g., alerting systems)
- Basic knowledge of IT/OT systems (ideally in critical infrastructure environments)
- Solid understanding of business operations and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to act under pressure
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and cross-functional approach
- Relevant crisis management certification is a plus
- Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
- Valid driver’s license (Class B)
